In August, 2006, we lost our top prize Dam,Poliisi  (pronounced Po-lee'-see). Poliisi was an extraordinary girl! A small alpaca, Poliisi had absolutely perfect conformation... lots of crimpy, dense, PEACH and white coloured fiber... and the sweetest, most obedient temperament you could ever hope for in any camelid! At age 2 she gave us a beautiful male cria, El Cid . At age 3 (her final year) her Histogram was an amazing 19FD with a comfort factor of 99%! In memory and honor of Poliisi, Alpaca Wings is dedicated to producing the absolute best alpaca fiber and fiber products. All of our raw fiber is washed and processed here on our ranch by hand. Every product Alpaca Wings sells is completely hand made by fiber artisans exclusive to Alpaca Wings! You will never find a mass manufactured or imported item for sale by Alpaca Wings!
